Terms of Service

Last updated: early access, 2026

Plain version: use Cutboard for your own footage, don't abuse it, pay for what you use, and we'll keep the service running. The full terms are below.

Agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Cutboard — our website, app, and related services (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you're using Cutboard on behalf of an organization, you're agreeing on its behalf, and "you" means that organization. We're in early access, so some features will change and these Terms may be updated as the product matures.

Your account

You're responsible for your account, the credentials that access it, and the activity that happens under it. Keep your login secure, give us accurate information, and let us know if you spot unauthorized use. You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding contract to use the Service.

Acceptable use

Use Cutboard for legitimate creative work on footage you have the rights to. You agree not to:

  • Connect or process footage you don't own or have permission to use.
  • Generate content that's unlawful, infringing, deceptive, or that violates anyone's rights.
  • Reverse-engineer, scrape, overload, or attempt to break the Service or its security.
  • Resell or sublicense the Service without our written permission.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that abuse the Service or put it, or other users, at risk.

Your content & Drive access

You keep all ownership of your footage, your brand inputs, and the ads Cutboard helps you create. You grant us a limited license to access, transcode, index, and process your connected content solely to provide the Service to you. We access Google Drive read-only and never modify, move, or delete your files. We don't claim ownership of your creative output, and we don't use your footage to train generalized AI models. How we handle data is detailed in our Privacy Policy.

AI-generated output

Cutboard uses AI to find clips and draft ad briefs. Output is a starting point, not a guarantee — review everything before you publish. You're responsible for the final ads you ship, including any claims, rights clearances, and platform rules. We don't warrant that output is accurate, non-infringing, or fit for any particular use.

Billing

Paid plans are billed per seat on a recurring basis. By subscribing, you authorize us (via our payment processor) to charge your method of payment for each cycle until you cancel. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. You can cancel anytime and will keep access through the end of the period you've paid for. Founding early-access rates, where offered, stay locked for as long as your subscription remains active. We'll give reasonable notice before any change to standard pricing.

Early access

The Service is in early access. That means features may be added, changed, or removed, and occasional issues are expected. We'll do our best to communicate meaningful changes, but you accept that an early-access product evolves quickly.

Termination

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if continuing would create risk for the Service or others. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; sections that by their nature should survive (ownership, disclaimers, limitations of liability) will survive.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cutboard and its team won't be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms as the Service changes. We'll revise the date at the top, and for material changes we'll give reasonable notice. Continuing to use the Service after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
